Privacy Policy

Application: All-Movies
Effective Date: May 8, 2026
Last Updated: May 8, 2026

All-Movies is built with privacy as a core principle. We collect only the information strictly necessary for the App to function and we do not sell Your data, share it with advertisers, or display third-party advertisements. This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of All-Movies (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses Your information when You use the All-Movies mobile application (the “Service” or the “App”) and informs You of Your privacy rights under applicable law.

By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with the principal global privacy frameworks, including the European Union and United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR / UK GDPR), the Brazilian Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and applicable Apple App Store privacy requirements.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Account means a unique account created for You to access the Service or parts of the Service. An Account is optional for basic use of the App.
  • Anonymous Use means using the App without creating or signing into an Account. In Anonymous Use, ratings, watchlists, and preferences are stored only on Your Device and are not synchronized with Our servers.
  • Application refers to All-Movies, the software program provided by the Developer.
  • Country refers to: Brazil.
  • Developer (referred to as either “the Developer”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our” in this Privacy Policy) refers to the developer of All-Movies.
  • Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a mobile phone or a tablet.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the Application.
  • Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of the Developer. For All-Movies, the principal Service Provider is Google LLC (Firebase).
  • Shared Content means lists, ratings, or other content You voluntarily make available to other Users through the App’s sharing features.
  • Third-party Authentication Service refers to a third-party service through which a User may sign in or create an Account to use the Service. Currently, this includes Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In, where enabled. We do not use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, or LinkedIn authentication.
  • TMDB refers to The Movie Database, the third-party content provider whose API supplies movie information displayed in the App.
  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, generated either by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service.

Anonymous Use vs. Account-Based Use

All-Movies can be used in two modes:

Anonymous Use. You may browse movie content, rate movies, and maintain a local watchlist without creating an Account. In this mode, all ratings, watchlists, and preferences are stored locally on Your Device using iOS local storage. This data does not leave Your Device and is not transmitted to Our servers. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete this local data.

Account-Based Use. If You create an Account, the App enables additional features including cloud synchronization across Your devices, the personal stats feature, and the ability to share lists or ratings with other Users. In this mode, Your data is securely backed up to Google Firebase and processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

You can switch from Anonymous Use to Account-Based Use at any time by signing in. Some features, such as cross-device sync, sharing, and personal stats, require an Account.

Information We Collect

Data You Provide When You Create an Account

When You create an Account, We collect:

  • Email address.
  • Display name (where provided).
  • A unique user identifier issued by the authentication provider (Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In).

Data You Generate While Using an Account

When You use the App with an Account, We process and store:

  • Your ratings and reviews of movies.
  • Your watchlists and any other lists You create.
  • Your in-app preferences.
  • Aggregated personal statistics computed from Your ratings and watch history (the “stats” feature). These statistics are visible only to You; they are not shared with other Users or third parties.
  • Shared Content You voluntarily make available to other Users through the sharing feature, together with metadata about with whom You shared it.

Usage Data and Diagnostics

Usage Data is collected automatically when You use the Service. Usage Data may include:

  • Your Device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address.
  • Mobile device type, mobile operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
  • App version.
  • Crash diagnostics and stability reports collected through Google Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Basic usage analytics collected through Google Firebase services.

About Crash Reporting. All-Movies uses Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics. Crashlytics may collect device state, the App version, the operating system version, and a stack trace at the time of a crash. Crashlytics is a Google service distinct from Apple’s iOS analytics framework. If You wish to limit crash data collection, You may disable it through any opt-out mechanism the App provides in its Settings, where applicable.

No Cross-App or Cross-Site Tracking

We do not track You across other apps or websites. The App does not use Apple’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not integrate any advertising or marketing SDK, and does not request authorization through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. The App does not perform cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

No Sensitive Data

The App does not knowingly collect or process special categories of personal data (e.g., racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health data, biometric data, financial information, or precise geolocation).

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR / LGPD)

Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or LGPD applies, We process Your Personal Data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); LGPD Art. 7, V): to provide the Service’s core features to You, including authenticating You, storing Your favorites and watchlists, computing Your personal stats, and enabling sharing where You have requested it.
  • Legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); LGPD Art. 7, IX): to maintain the security and stability of the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose technical issues, and improve the Service. We balance these interests against Your fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); LGPD Art. 7, I): where applicable, for any optional processing requiring Your explicit consent. You may withdraw Your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Compliance with legal obligations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c); LGPD Art. 7, II): where the processing is required by law.

How We Use Your Information

The Developer uses Personal Data only for the following limited purposes:

  • To authenticate You and operate Your Account.
  • To synchronize Your ratings, watchlists, and preferences across Your devices.
  • To compute and display Your personal stats.
  • To deliver the sharing feature when You choose to share content with other Users.
  • To diagnose technical issues, monitor stability, and improve the functionality and security of the Service.
  • To respond to Your support requests, data subject rights requests, or other inquiries.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do NOT: sell Your Personal Data; share Your Personal Data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketers; use Your Personal Data for advertising profiling or cross-context behavioral advertising; share Your data with affiliates or business partners for marketing or promotional purposes; or display third-party advertisements within the App.

How Your Data Is Shared

Service Providers. We share limited Personal Data with Service Providers strictly necessary to operate the App. Currently, this is Google LLC, which provides Firebase Authentication, Firestore (database storage), and Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics). Firebase processes data in accordance with the Google Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms, available at https://firebase.google.com/terms/data-processing-terms.

TMDB. When You browse movie content, requests are made to TMDB’s API to retrieve movie information. TMDB may receive limited technical data (such as the IP address inherent to any standard internet request). We do not transmit Your Account information, email, ratings, watchlists, or favorites list to TMDB. TMDB’s privacy policy is available at https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.

Apple. Apple may collect data related to App Store distribution and (where applicable) Sign in with Apple, in accordance with Apple’s privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

Other Users (Sharing Feature Only). If You choose to share a list, rating, or other content with another User, that Shared Content (and Your display name associated with it) becomes visible to the recipient(s) You select. You control what You share and with whom. You may revoke a share at any time through the App’s sharing settings, which will remove the Shared Content from the recipient’s view going forward, although the recipient may retain copies that they captured outside the App.

Legal Requirements. The Developer may disclose Your Personal Data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) comply with a legal obligation, court order, or valid request by a public authority; (ii) protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of the Developer; (iii) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; (iv) protect the personal safety of Users or the public; or (v) protect against legal liability.

Business Transactions. If the Developer is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice through the App or by reasonable means before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

With Your Consent. We may disclose Your Personal Data for any other purpose with Your explicit consent.

International Data Transfers

Your information, including Personal Data, may be processed at the Developer’s operating offices and on the Service Providers’ infrastructure, including in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. Because the App is offered worldwide and relies on Firebase, Your Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Your country of residence, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction.

Where required by GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD, or comparable laws, such international transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated in Google’s Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms.

By submitting Your Personal Data, You acknowledge and agree to such transfers, subject to those safeguards.

Data Retention

The Developer will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with Our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our agreements.

Usage Data and crash diagnostics are generally retained for a shorter period, in accordance with Firebase Crashlytics’ default retention policy, except when this data is used to strengthen security or comply with legal retention obligations.

You acknowledge that, as set out in the Terms and Conditions, if the App is suspended or permanently discontinued (including due to operating costs that exceed what the Developer can or will bear), all data stored in connection with the App, including Your favorites list, watchlists, ratings, and Shared Content, may be permanently deleted.

Your Rights and How to Exercise Them

Depending on Your jurisdiction, You may have the following rights regarding Your Personal Data:

  • Right of access: to obtain confirmation of whether Your data is being processed and to access such data.
  • Right to rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): to request deletion of Your data.
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability: to receive Your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., the ANPD in Brazil, the relevant Data Protection Authority in the EU, or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK).
  • California residents (CCPA/CPRA): right to know, right to delete, right to correct, right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising), right to limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA), and right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

How to Delete Your Account and Personal Data

You can delete Your Account and all associated data directly inside the App at any time, with no email or approval required. Sign in to Your Account and visit the account settings section, which provides an in-app option to permanently delete Your Account and the data associated with it. This in-app deletion is provided in compliance with Apple App Store guidelines.

If You prefer to make a formal request, request a copy of Your data, or exercise any other right listed above, You may also contact Us at appallmovies@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically within 30 days under GDPR/LGPD, extendable in complex cases).

Please note that We may need to retain certain information when We have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

Security

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We rely on Google Firebase’s industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and ongoing security monitoring. Local data on Your Device is protected by iOS platform security. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age under applicable local law, including 16 in some EU member states). We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children below this threshold without verifiable parental consent.

If You are a parent or guardian and You become aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data without proper consent, please contact Us so that We may take appropriate steps to remove that information from Our systems.

Where We rely on consent as a legal basis for processing and the User’s country requires consent from a parent, We may require the parent’s consent before We collect and use that information.

Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain links to other websites or services that are not operated by the Developer (for example, links to TMDB pages or third-party policy documents referenced in this Privacy Policy). If You click a third-party link, You will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise You to review the privacy policy of every site You visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Our practices, the Service, or applicable law. We will notify You of any material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy and, where reasonably feasible, by posting a prominent notice within the App prior to the change becoming effective.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted at the location where this Privacy Policy is published.
